Topic:  What’s fair, what’s attractive, what’s profitable? Consultant Remuneration in 2010
featuring guest presenters Rosemary Scott and Nigel Harse

Duration:  1 hour

Content:

My guest presenters for this webinar are two of Australia’s most knowledgeable experts in the area of recruitment consultant remuneration, Rosemary Scott and Nigel Harse.

In this webinar you will receive answers to the following common questions about consultant remuneration structures and amounts:

  • For both Temp and Perm recruiters – what’s the market base salary, commission structure and expected annual earnings for what amount of net margin or gross profit or billings?

  • What variations, in the above, exist across cities, across specialist sectors, and across size of recruitment companies?

  • How is gross income treated for commission purposes when a consultant is doing a mixed desk ie both temp and perm?

  • Are super-bonuses paid?

  • How is commission paid ie all paid when due or is a proportion held back to cover potential credits or provide a buffer for the following month/quarter?

  • How soon after end of the commission period is the money paid to the consultant?

  • Is the commission typically paid on fees billed or cash collected?

  • With a rookie recruiter what is a reasonable expectation of billings or number of placements in the first 6 months?

  • What is the actual total consultant remuneration as a ratio of GP for both temp and perm teams?

  • What difference exists in this ratio between high performing firms, average firms and laggard firms?

  • What variations exist in this ratio across cities, across specialist sectors, and across size of recruitment companies?

Also, Rosemary and Nigel will provide specific recommendations with respect to best practice structures and ratios based on their respective experiences on both sides of the desk in the recruitment industry.
